Police and customs officers raiding shops owned by foreigners in Jeppe Rd and Delvers St, Johannesburg today
The metro police and the customs officials raided a number of shops in the corner of Jeppe Rd and Delvers Street, Johannesburg this morning. It is believed that these shops which are known as “Lotto Wholesalers and Retailers” have been selling clothes which were not transported to this country on legal basis. It is not clear whether any arrests have been made, however, a large number of clothing stocks have been confiscated and it is not clear as to what rand value they come to.
