God loves Sinners?

“God hates sin but He loves the sinner” This statement is the song of every modern Christian. It is sung by church leaders and their followers. It is sung by many today’s evangelists. Those who preach are sure to speak about God’s love and equally fail to give the other side of God’s person’ which is His wrath. They only show one side of the coin and fail to show the other side. They venture from country to country to preach what the world wants to hear and not what God intends for His people to hear. They say we must not preach about the fear of the Lord because God is a loving Father, people should not be afraid of Him but rather come to Him?

I have not found the scripture verse that literally says, “God loves sinners” but I have found the one that says, “…God is angry with the wicked everyday.” (Psalm 7:11) And also I have found the one that says to God, “…You HATE ALL the workers of iniquity” (Psalm 5:5) Also God said concerning the children of Ephraim, who were the descendants Joseph the son of Jacob (Israel) “All their wickedness is in Gilgal: for there I HATED them: for the wickedness of their doings I will drive them out of mine house, I will love them no more: all their princes are revolters.” Hosea 9:15

God hates sin

God is a Holy God and a righteous judge. He loves righteousness and hates iniquity. (Hebrews 1:9) “Thou hast loved righteousness, and hated iniquity…” God is righteous, even His throne is founded upon righteousness and justice. If the God of heaven whom we claim to love and serve hates iniquity, we ought to depart from all evil. The Bible says, (Proverb 16:17) “The highway of the upright is to depart from evil: he that keepeth his way preserveth his soul.” The upright are those who live a God pleasing life and the bible says that their highway is to depart or to stay away from evil. And it says he that keeps his way will preserve his soul. This means, those who will continue in departing from evil, who will keep away from lies, from hatred, from idolatery, from adultery, from murder, from fornication and from all forms of evil, then these shall live and not perish in eternal hell.

If we do what God hates, we cannot be in heaven because we would be violating His great commandment which is according to Jesus, (Matthew 22:37) “…love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.” Jesus said if we love Him we must keep His commandments (John 14:15). If we don’t keep His word then were are declaring that we don’t love Him and therefore are judging ourselves unworthy to partake in the fellowship with Godhead. By disobedience we reject Him and therefore thread underfoot the blood of the Son of God who gave His life for us sinners, in order to save us from the fiery indignation of the Holy God who hate the sin that is engraved in our flesh.

God will punish severely those who rejected and continue to reject His Son Jesus Christ. (Hebrews 10:28-29) “He that despised Moses’ law died without mercy under two or three witnesses: Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace?”

My dear friends don’t be deceived, God loves you but He hates your sins and everything that you are which is a “sinner” but by His infite grace He gave His Son to save you from the punishment that will be brought over all sinful men.
