I am persuaded to write this message to all believers who may read it. The will of God about the gospel is that it be preached through out the whole world and that those who believe should be saved (Matthew 28:19,Mark 16:15). The instruction of the Lord is not “Go ye into the world and make friends” but He instructs us to make disciples.
Many times I have heard people say we must not insist upon people to believe the gospel but that we must pray for them and tell them that God loves them, yet Jesus did not say “Go ye unto the world and pray for people to be saved.” Let us look at Romans, the 10th chapter from the 13th to the 17th verse, “For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher? And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things! But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Esaias saith, Lord, who hath believed our report? So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.”
As we can see that people must call on the name of the Lord in order to be saved, but they must first believe in Jesus Christ (John 3:16) and before they believe they must hear the word being preached and before they hear the word, someone must preach and before someone preach, the same must be sent.
All believers have been sent to preach the gospel, the problem is that a vast majority of believers want to pray for unbelievers to be saved and are not prepared to preach to them because they fear that the unbelievers might be offended. It profits nothing that you pray for your neighbor to be saved when you are not preaching to them. If they die while you are praying and they haven’t heard the gospel, their blood is on your head.
Preach the gospel in season and out of season and at all possible costs with or without the approval of the clergy and of the laity. Of course people will be offended if you tell them to repent and turn away from their sins, they rejected Jesus and therefore are abound to reject you!! Even Jesus said in John 15:18 “If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you. If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you. Remember the word that I said unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord. If they have persecuted me, they will also persecute you; if they have kept my saying, they will keep yours also.”
If they rejected the words of our Lord Jesus Christ then they will reject ours, if they kept the words of the Lord Jesus Christ, so will they keep the word of our preaching!!!
